Zara Zara Zara!

Last night we had a successful launch of fbo’s new Zara range that has just arrived. Specially invited guests from regular fbo customers to fashion bloggers along with our wonderful staff made this event such a success. Its always a wonderful thing to see how fashion brings people of different cultures from different areas together. It makes my job so worth it and reminds me why I love doing what I do.

Women at work

Good morning to everybody on this rainy and overcast Thursday morning. Days like these are my absolute favourite, a break from the heat of spring is always well needed. It’s also the best way to actually get myself to do some work because what else can one do on a day like this but stay in bed with your laptop in front of you and a hot cup of coffee? Sounds amazing.

So while I’ve been in my work mode, I’ve been sorting through a bunch of my photos and found a couple from our Soweto TV ladies. As some of you may know fbo dresses four stunning presenters on Soweto TV.

The photos below are of Tsakane and Dikeledi (both wearing dresses from fbo) who are presenters on the show Ultimate Sistas on Soweto TV Channel. Ultimate Sistas is described by Soweto TV as a show that “is aimed at awakening the greatness that resides in every township girl.” It airs on Soweto TV every Wednesday from 17:00 until 17:30. Be sure to look out for them in their outfits from fbo.

Our Miss Benoni Stars

Good Morning readers! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I definitely had a busy but very eventful one attending the Miss Benoni pageant which took place on Saturday evening. As some of you may know fbo was the sponsor of two lovely models, Kabelo Mashiane and Kagiso Kekana who both looked fabulous on the night and represented fbo incredibly well.

I’m so proud to let you all know that they were placed 2nd Prince and Princess in the competition. I. would like to send a big congratulations out to them on their achievement and cant wait to work with them in the future

Mid October promotion

Good Morning everyone! Sorry I’ve been a little quiet the past few days. Our Springs store has been quite crazy the past few days and I’ve had to be in 2 places at once. But I’m back and have the next 2 days off which is extremely exciting.

Today i just want to share with you the great promotions that fbo will be having this weekend. So how about we talk shoes? I bet that just got everyone a little more excited right? A really big trend at the moment is the canvas sneaker or moccasin. They really are one of the most comfortable shoes i have in my cupboard and for me being on my feet the whole day that really is a deal breaker. Besides from their comfort (because yes i do know that for women comfort is really on the bottom of the list,if it looks good who cares if our feet are dying of pain) they are also available in literally any colour and styles with assorted patterns that can brighten up any outfit on a summer day. They are also perfect for the transition between spring and summer when this weather cant decide whether it wants to be hot or cold.

Shop till you drop

A very warm welcome to everybody on such a chilly overcast morning.

Yesterday i went and did a little shopping and  found the most beautiful little denim skirt and grey body suit from a lovely shop called Refinery. Has anyone ever been there? If not you have to go check it out. The weather most definitely is not on my side today as all i want to do is strut my stuff in my new pieces, which of course is not possible in these “winter like” temperatures.

Anyways I’m getting carried away here.The real reason for this mornings blog is still fashion related, however it is a lot more exciting than my 2 items of clothing from yesterdays shopping trip. It is actually a complete wardrobe full of top fashion brands to the value of  R20 000.

fbo is running a competition until the 18th of December 2016, which means no excuses on not being able to enter it. It is so easy. Weekend Fun

Happy Monday Everyone! A little bit of news from the weekend.

We had a fantastic opening of the new fbo store in Springs. From 7am on Friday morning, until Sunday afternoon we didn’t stop. I was welcoming customers, helping in the shop, in the fitting rooms, at the tills, wherever I was needed and I absolutely loved every second of it. There’s something about making customers happy that just automatically makes me happy and gives me such a rush.

 I cant wait to see what the future holds, not only for fbo Springs, but for the business as a whole. I’m so proud to be a part of such a wonderful for team. We can definitely only grow from here.

If you haven’t visited fbo, make sure you go have a look as soon as you get the chance, it will definitely be a worth while trip.

We’re Here!

So after weeks of hard work, long hours and basically blood sweat and tears we made and fbo Springs is finally here.I’m so proud and extremely ecstatic that we were able to pull it off in time. We truly have the most fantastic team.

The perfect suit

It’s that time of the year now gentlemen. You know the matric farewell that you need to find a suit for because you’ve left it to late or the end of year business function that you have to be at.

Regardless of the situation the perfect suit is an essential for a mans closet, its like the Little Black Dress of a womens wardrobe. Right?
Dressed up or down it can really be worked to suit your style or occasion (pun intended). I was out at an a event this weekend and took particular notice at mens fashion (instead of just the men themselves for a change) and noticed a really big an upcoming trend: The Blazer. A suit does not necessarily have to be worn as a whole, simply taking the blazer and pairing it with a good pair of jeans and a smart shoe and you’ve got a more casual yet still sophisticated look. In the same sense a pair of pants from a suit can be worn with a more casual open collared shirt and you’re good to go for almost any event you’re being dragged to.
With that being said I’ve gone and done all the hard work for you (because what man really enjoys shopping) and found your perfect suit.
